West Dragon Stream (西龍石澗)

Trip Description

This is a pretty short river trekking route. It will only take you about 3 to 4 hours. There is no stunning waterfalls and swimming pools, yet it is a nice place to visit.

Location 1: Altitude 240M

This is the entrance of the West Dragon River, sitting right on Tung Chung Road (東涌路).

Location 2: Altitude 470M

The background of this photo is a small gorge, called Gorge of the Flying Eaves (飛簷峽). You could scale on the left on the gorge. You have to overcome some wet plants on your way up.

Location 3: Altitude 480M

Here we are on the top of the gorge.

Location 4: Altitude 495M

This weird rock is called The Rock of the Flying Eaves (飛簷石) because it resemables eaves.

Location 5: Altitude 555M

Here we come to the exit of the West Dragon River, this exit will lead you to Lantau Trail.
