Route Description

Lo Hon Tower is in fact a big rocky tower near Lantau peak. Although the government survey map does not display this trail, this track is easily recognizable. I rated this route as two stars if you are not climbing the the rocky Lo Han Tower. Climbing the Tower is entirely optional. If you choose to challenge yourself by scaling up on the Tower, I will rate this route as 4 stars, careless mistake could be fatal.

The first portion of the track is covered by tall trees and bushes.

Here we reached the heel of the tower. You can climb up the tower along the cracks on your left. Even if you climb up the Lo Han Tower, there is no reasonable way to leave on the other side of the tower. You have to retreat back along the same track. You can also by-pass the tower by taking a passage on your right.
Just around the corner on the right passage, you will find a big cave lying about 50m away form you.
The cave is pretty big, it can shelter several people for lunch or something. This Lo Hon Tower picture was taken from the cave. After visiting the cave, you should go back to the passage underneath Lo Han Tower and continue your journey back to Lantau Peak.
Some of us climb up the Lo Han Tower. The climbing route is on the left. After this shear climb, you are a few easy steps from the tower top.
He has just completed the vertical climb.
We are on the TOP!!!
