Trip DescriptionLo Hon Tower is in fact a big rocky tower near Lantau peak. Although the government survey map does not display this trail, this track is easily recognizable. |
Location 1Altitude : 360MDescription : This is entrance towards Lo Han Tower.If you walk from Shek Mun Kap (¥Ûªù¥Ò) to Ngong Ping (©ù¥), this entrance will be on your left. |
Location 2Altitude : 455MDescription : The first portion of the track is covered by tall trees and bushes. |
Location 3Altitude : 655MDescription : Here we left the bushes and hike on open area. |
Location 4Altitude : 735MDescription : This big rocky structure is Lo Hon Tower. |
Location 5Altitude : 810MDescription : Here we reached the heel of the tower. You can climb up the tower along the cracks on your left. You can also by-pass the tower by taking a passage on your right.Description : Just around the corner on the right passage, you will find a big cave lying about 50m away form you.Description : The cave is pretty big, it can shelter several people for lunch or something.Description : This Lo Hon Tower picture was taken from the cave. After visiting the cave, you should go back to the passage underneath Lo Han Tower and continue your journey back to Lantau Peak. |
